Financed projects
I was a member of the project 'Reusable Deep Neural Networks: application to Biomedical Data' (PTDC/EIA-EIA/119004/2010) that ended on September 2015.
I was a member of the project 'AdSys - Adaptive Decision Support System for Interactive Scheduling with MetaCognition and User Modelling Experience' (PTDC/EME-GIN/109956/2009) that ended on September 2014.
I was a member of the project 'EntNets - Entropic neural networks for the analysis of medical data' (POSC/EIA/56918/2004), which was financed by FCT and ended in Dec. 2008. The goal of the project was the development of new neural networks using entropy as a cost function and their application to the analysis of medical data. Most of the team members are researchers at the Neural Networks Interest Group (NNIG).
Teaching
I am a Coordinator Professor at the Department of Mathematics at ISEP . I teach Calculus and Algebra to BSc courses and Machine Learning to Master Degree.
