Jorge Manuel Fernandes dos Santos

I am a Coordinator Professor in the Department of Mathematics at ISEP - School of Engineering, Polythecnic of Porto.

I am a researcher at the Mathematical Engineering Lab - LEMA  (Laboratório de Engenharia Matemática).

I was a Researcher at the Signal Processing Group of the Biomedical Engineering Institute at Porto INEB, since 2002.

I was Director of the Mathematical Engineering Lab - LEMA  (Laboratório de Engenharia Matemática) from 2011 to 2014.

I received the degree in Industrial Informatics from ISEP in 1994, the MSc degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Engineering Faculty of Porto University (FEUP) in 1997, and the PhD degree in Engineering Sciences from FEUP in 2007.

My research interests are mainly in Neural Networks, Information Theory, Clustering, Pattern Recognition, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Computational Intelligence.

My hobbies include sports like Football, Squash and Kite.
